Overview
The Santa Fe College Honors Program fosters academic excellence and extracurricular enrichment among highly motivated, high-potential, intellectually curious, creative learners who represent the full diversity of SF.
The Honors Program is an Associates in Arts academic program in which students complete Honors general education and elective courses that engage them as partners in the learning process. Students in Honors classes are provided opportunities to explore topics in greater depth and to develop expertise in each class. In addition to learning specific course content, Honors Program students refine their written and oral communications, critical thinking, and research skills.
The Honors Program is a community that supports and challenges each of its members to maximize their potential. Students interact closely with their professors, see their classmates across different Honors and standard classes, and participate in out-of-class opportunities that help them realize their academic, personal, and professional goals and to become civically-engaged, active participants on campus and in the community.
